Accreditation and Rankings

Accreditation

Every ten years Washington State University reviews and evaluates the entire institution in a process that takes nearly three years. We test ourselves against standards developed and revised over time by the membership of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

In preparing the self-study report and visit, WSU demonstrates how it meets each standard and element of the commission’s eligibility requirements and accreditation standards, and all other applicable policies. During this self-study, we make our best efforts to provide a succinct, thoughtful, and analytical document that includes an appraisal of our strengths, weaknesses, and achievements relative to each standard.
